  • «The first nigredo, that of the unio naturalis, is an objective state, visible from the outside only … an unconscious state of non-differentiation between self and object, consciousness and the unconscious. Here the subject is unaware of the unconscious; i.e. the connection with the instincts.
    «the nigredo of the process of individuation on the other hand is a subjectively experienced process brought about by the subject’s painful, growing awareness of his shadow aspects. It could be described as a moment of maximum despair, that is a prerequisite to personal development. As individuation unfolds, so confrontation with the shadow produces at first a dead balance, a standstill that hampers moral decisions and makes convictions ineffective or even impossible … nigredo, tenebrositas, chaos, melancholia. Here is the darkest time, the time of despair, disillusionment, envious attacks; the time when Eros and Superego are at daggers drawn, and there seems no way forward … nigredo, the blackening.»

    Based on my own interpretation of Tomaž Šalamun’s poetry, «黑度» takes «Eclipse» into the hymn for the nigredo stage of the great alchemic work.

  • Me complace anunciar que finalmente las grabaciones principales de «黑度» han sido terminadas, lo único que resta es la intro.

    Pronto será revelada la putrefacción que abre el camino de la gran obra.

    Por ahora, dejo con ustedes la portada de este nuevo álbum de larga duración.

  • After a long process of who-knows-what, streaming platforms have finally realized that I didn’t infringe any fucking copyright laws (fucking idiots), thus, they did release «Running Riot» today.

    This compilation, while simple in nature, is a rather significative step, as it contains all the tracks from the split albums that came prior.

    Regardless of some quarrels and fallouts occurred with some of the people involved, I am very proud of having had the chance to collaborate with these artist through a shared album.

    Running Riot is, precisely, the celebration of this musical communion.

  • 2017 was, undoubtedly, a strange time for me, and for my musical endeavors. I remember that around this times, I was not only going through a rather powerful part of my journey into the occult, but I was also experiencing a a rather interesting turnaround in my own personal life.

    Of course, none of that matters now (given how much have things progressed), but I do remember a certain lack of inspiration in those times. Still, my desire of making music was larger than my apparent lack of ideas, so I began working not based on any musical concepts, but rather on visuals.

    For me, what made Éléphant special was not its crude shapes, but rather the whole of the idea that brought it to life: Salvador Dalí’s paintings.

    Both musically and lyrically, the album is based upon Dalí’s work, this being the main reason for the incorporation of strange elements and noises. In fact, the noise in the intro «La Nouvelle Obscurité», is a very old interview with the legend himself. The rest of the album is comprised of the crude interpretation of the paintings, merely visual through the first tracks, and more personal and projected through the later tracks of the album.

    This album was a rather big accolade for me, and it recieved a lot of attention back then. I can’t really explain why.

    It was first released by me through Cónclave Curatorial on a double cassette edition featuring a very weird Poster Card featuring artwork by SkaisAltair.

    But of course, the album would gain more traction, attracting the attention of Triumphant Cadaver, that released a Pro Tape version with a limited edition patch. That edition included artwork by Italian graphic artist The Unknow.

    After that, the album got even bigger, and eventually landed me a spot in the RAW WAR zine #4

    While I remember that interview rather fondly, but I remember one of the questions involved LSD and other psychoactive drugs. Of course, at the time I didn’t realise, but now I see in those a nod to the many times Dali was asked if he used such substances to get inspiration for his paintings. And with that, I realize I missed the chance to answer like the master himself would have.

    Can’t quite say myself if Éléphant is my best album to date, to do so would probably be a bit arbitrary and, most importantly, would take some attributions I don’t have as its author. What I can say, however, is that it is certainly of of the best albums I’ve made, and one of the ones that have reached the furthest. Which is kind of ironic if you consider that it came out of a lack of inspiration.

    All in all, this highlight of my career is now available in Spotify, albeit, without the noise or vaporwave tracks, which had to be removed to avoid any weird upload situation as the one I had trying to upload «Running Riot» to the platform.

  • Finally, after quite a while, all the guitars for the new album have been completed.

    Now I just have to record the bass and the remaining vocals, which in comparison is a faster process.

    Hopefully, «黑度» will be finished in mid september or early october.

  • Aunque aún sigo esperando un análisis preliminar para iniciar los trabajos de edición en «Crímenes y Delirios», mi editor ha sugerido segmentar el contenido íntegro del texto y publicarlo por separado bajo ciertos bloques y guías temáticas.

    Aunque he de admitir que mi intención es publicar el compendio tal como ha sido escrito, sus sugerencias son lógicas; y, lejos de entorpecer la labor literaria aquí plasmada, facilitará su acogida en alguna editorial.

    Así que es probable que «Crímenes y Delirios» no sea publicado en su totalidad como una antología, al menos no por ahora. Más adelante quizás.

  • De nueva cuenta, he dedicado algo de tiempo para ingresar uno de los poemas de «Delirios» en un concurso internacional de poesía. Y es de mi agrado hacerles saber, que el mismo fue finalista entre 947 poemas.

  • A 35mm photo for the accolade

    So, I’ve sent a couple of the poems in my work in progress «Delirios» to a contest open to all of Mexico, and they have been selected to be featured in a printed anthology.

    I’ll be sharing them as soon as it gets published.

  • Originally released on the split album with Herxsebet: “Of mist orchids and ritual cave stench”

    Also included in the compilation “Decennium insaniae

    Strange song, born from a poem emerged in my ghoulish obsession.

    Its lyrics were edited and adapted in the poetry book “87 Cicatrices”, in the chapter “De amores fugaces”.
